Try disconnecting the battery earth lead for a few seconds if it doesn’t release when you reconnect, you’ve messed it up. OP. Oct 5, 2012 · This is an option you can change, it will stay on for 10 or 20 minutes or not at all and it does not matter if the doors are open or not, with GM I know if you open the door it shuts off but with the 500 I have mine set to stay on for 20 minutes.
